My peppermint shrimp has eggs!

Im very excited to see this! I keep a fresh water tank as well and my cherrys and ghosts breed often and some of the offspring even make it to adulthood. This is my first experience with a salty shrimp with eggs, any chance the offspring will make it?

Bigger chance the eggs are duds. If there is another peppermint shrimp then it's possible.. but unless there is a mate to fertilize the eggs there or at the lfs then they'll hatch and nothing will come out. Female shrimp we see in this hobby after have eggs without even mating.. difference being they only hatch living larvae if they do mate.

If by chance they were fertilized, filteration and fish will usually mop them up with no survivers.

I do have two, whether or not they did the deed is hard to say, but I have a mandarin and a butterfly so free naturally occurring fish food is always appreciated. I have HOB on the other side of the tanks and they hang out under one of my rocks so not likely to get sucked out. It'll be fun to watch either way! Thanks for the input!
