My PH is dropping from 8.29 to 7.95 within a day after I re-buffer my tank. CA/Mg is stable ad very normal. The DKH also drops.. from 9.9 to 7.5 quickly.

No issue with in the tank except the zoas/GSP not opening for long

What are the actual numbers? The level at which you can raise alk (and ca) is directly determined by your mg. IOW, with insufficient mg, buffering alk won't raise your level; it will simply precipitate out of solution.

Also, how are you testing, and what is the daily usage for your tank?

BTW, a pH of 7.95 is not critical. It's not optimal, but not harmful, either.

Do not chase pH. But chase Alk/Ca. Mg will replenish with weekly water changes.

Ph will equilibrate alone. Mine goes from 7.98 to 8.4 during the day cycle. I have a controller that tells me it's value during the day. I use the pH value to know, indirectly, if something is wrong with Alk or Ca and my dosing pumps.

Cheers

How big is your tank?
What type of corals?
Alk naturally drops.. If you can dose smaller amount more often, things will be more stable... Shoot for an alk around 8 and don't worry too much about oh
Some systems just run at a low ph...
A magnesium test would be a good idea as well..
Do you do regular water changes?
