My phosphates were at 10. Plus,what is this yellow stuff?

Thanks ,you guys were right.
It was high phosphates.
They were at 10 pp ,so a guy said to use Fritz Phosphate Remover. (granules in a bag placed in the sump)

So now i see a yellow shell. The shell has been here but now its yellow.

Plus,the rocks all over seem yellow-ish. What could that be?

hard to tell from the pics but it looks like diatoms. its a common algae bloom to new tanks. if indeed thats what it is it should go away on its own in a few weeks.

thanks ,my camera stinks. i need a better one.

i thought diatom was brown,but this is a bright canary yellow.

as long as its ok,thats fine. thanks.

What are you using for lighting, it could be looking more yellow than brown because of the lighting.

diatoms can be kinda yellow. once they fully develop, i have only seen brown then. when i went through the stage, my rocks turned yellow then brown shortly after.
