My Photos of "The Package", Finally!

It's been 4.5 weeks since Part 1 and almost 2 weeks since I received Part 2 of the TBS package. I finally have photos to share of the entire package now that things have settled and I've got them where I want them.

Lots of extras were included with "The Package", but unfortunately several didn't make it -- 4 out of 6 of the gorgonians (I think they were DOA), several sponges, lots of barnacles and one of the sea cucumbers. Although he never comes out in the open, I've spotted the peppermint shrimp hiding out in caves. I haven't seen the starfish since I put him in there, but I know that's normal.

A condy anemone was also included. Since I plan to get a pair of clownfish at some point, I was excited about the anemone until I found out that clownfish rarely host in condy anemones and that they are considered "aggressive". Unfortunately, he's gonna have to stay cuz there's no getting him out of the rock hole it has settled in. Wish I had known. . .

My favorite extra is the orange sponge (I think that's what it is?) that you can see in the center. I hope it continues to do well. Another extra that I often see in the TBS package photos is the huge brown "thing" in the back on the left. What is that called??? I also don't know what the tree-like thing is on top of the rock on the right, but it's growing new, pinkish shoots.

As for hitchhikers, I was able to extract one mantis shrimp from each package -- one red one and one green. There is still at least one mantis or pistol shrimp. There are at least 2 porcelain crabs and one emerald. I got several "bad" crabs out but there are more that I've just given up on.

These aren't the greatest quality photos, but the best I could do with what I've got. There are LOTS of holes, caves, etc.

Look GREAT! Reminds me of when I got my package back in 2004!

The condy anemone shouldn't be much of a problem, once they settle in they are fine and wont generally move. I can tell you that Clarkii clowns have been known to host in them and I had a large Clarkii that hosted in one I received from TBS.

Enjoy the rock, TBS is the BEST rock in the industry!

I really like the way your aquascape came out! Good Job.

Thanks! It was quite the challenge to get it all in in a way that worked and left open sand area!

I forgot to mention a few other hitchhikers: lots of small feather dusters, sea squirts, tube corals, some small bristle worms, spaghetti worms. . . I'm sure I don't even know everything that is in there yet!

Here are a few more photos. One is of my surviving sea cucumber, who seems huge to me! The others are "extras" from TBS that I'd like to know the names of so I don't have to keep saying "the orange thing", etc.

My favorite freebie of all, but again, I don't know what's it's called.

Thanks to whomever has a clue!

Brown thing = porite colony, cute green things = bottle brush plant, orange thing = sponge, not sure exactly what it's called but not a tree or ball type.
