My Plate Ate!

LOL, yes, seems silly...

I got a "pink" fungia from Blue Zoo at the beginning of September and it's been doing very well. I've tried to spot feed it - as I do all my corals - but have never seen it eat. Well tonight this thing ATE!

I piece of mysis fell right onto the mouth and as I watched, the mouth opened up and slowly the mysis went in! And a big, whole mysis was on the tentacles, and as it was eating the first piece of shrimp, the tentacles drew the big mysis in and it ate the whole thing! It was just so cool to actually see my fungia chowing down!

And oddly enough, it's not all that pink any more... more light pink and green and the mouth is purple & white striped.

My plates will eat just about anything at any time. I have an orange one and a green one.

Great congrats. Mine i Belive is in problems. Can check the pic to tell me if it has chance -- All my para meters are close to zoro my salinity is a bit highway 1.027
