that was going to be my next question is there anything i can use to discuise the overflow if i paint is there a special paint i should use as it would be in contact with the water
Krylon Fusion spray paint is the accepted reef safe product. There are probably many more but this stuff is easily available and comes in many colors. You would need to do some serious masking to prevent overspray on the rest of the tank. apply a minimum of 2 coats and let cure 48 hrs before fillup

Oh...yeah, didnt realize. Maybe post the question in the DIY forum and you will probably get a substitute or a description of what makes krylon fusion reef safe and you can find something with a similar ingredient combo in your region. I am pretty sure it is simply a plastic specific paint...as apposed to metal specific spray paint.
