Thanks. I didn't think I was getting any growth from it. This makes me feel good. I might be changing out a power head to lower flow and see the results.

Hope you have a good tank sitter!

Let's hope. I preportioned food and pulled the filter socks. Only issue might be cleaning my skimmer but it will be fine if just emptied. I need to break down several tanks to make life easier.

I don't know. .... I'm in Europe for a couple weeks vacation!

Wait, are you actually in Europe or do you mean that . . .

You are in the process of planning a trip to Europe.

You are piling up old airline tickets and brochures from people who have been to Europe and don't want to go there anymore.

You are on the Internet giving advice to people who are actually in Europe right now while you sit on said pile of old brochures.

You think Europe and South County are basically the same.

Enjoy the trip!

Just found out my tank is at 11.7 dkh and there is precipitation everywhere. The coral is alive for now. Dosing is turned way down. Why does this cap happen when you're not around. Hope things get settled out with minimal casualties.

Let us know if you or your tank sitter need anything. Enjoy the trip.

If you never leave the house, nothing will ever go wrong with your tank. Truth.

Thanks. As of now things are under control. Idk what happened and that is the scary part.

glad you got it under control, hopefully without much loss.

Alk is coming down. Things are all out of wack. Hopefully tomorrow things will be closer to balanced again. It is tough because there isn't great service over here.

Ok. I got home last night and didn't do anything but feed the tanks. Today I was trying to figure out what happened and couldn't see anything wrong except that my alk dosing container was nearly empty and my calcium was only three quarters full. Kinda weird since I dose at equal parts but I knew something happened to raise my alk. So I mixed up more alk to equal them out and when I started adding it the stupid container started leaking. I soon found a small crack in the bottom of the container! The problem with that is it sets above my sump! The dang thing leaked into my sump and almost crashed my system. I only lost one acro and a couple others don't look so hot but will hopefully make a full recovery. I will be doing some heavy fraging on two of my favorite colonies to make sure they live also. I plan on having my calcium reactor online as soon as I get everything balanced again. I can't believe a stupid cheap container almost ruined my tank. On a side note growth is booming with the higher alk so I'm going to balance it out around 8 ish and see how things do.
