I got this from a dying transshipped colony from Fiji from my old LFS in KC. I snapped a few last-ditch frags and one lived. The colony was thin and branchy like a Cali, but I only got a quick look at it. The locals here in Colorado say that they have seen it a lot from the mari suppliers. I had not seen it before.
It looks better in person. The tips are really yellow... more yellow than the tips on my WWC Yellow Tip (they don't photo all that well either).
Here is a pic of mine. I loved it, I grew mine from a frag from a local store BRK. Unfortunately it stopped growing and pretty much has had stn ever since I added the multicolor. Pretty sure the fish was eating the mucus off the coral or something. It would never leave really bad marks but it would certainly irritate the coral. I put it in a friends tank, but it may have been too late.
Awesome coral! I also think its an Austera.
Yea I have seen them as maricultures too. I don't think I would call it a rainbow either, it's basically yellowish green and purple. But that's another thread

If that is what colors you have, then you have a different coral or it has not colored up yet. This one has bright blue polyps and tips more yellow than my WWC Yellow Tip (both yellows have a tint of green (all do, right?) and this one is more yellow). The branches go from teal down the stalks to purple at the tips.
I got out my Veron book and took some closer up pictures. This is the same coral as whatever the ORA Tort is. Neither is Acropora Tortuosa as outlined on page 265 of Veron's 1st book. I don't know what they are though, I don't really care.
