My Rainford's Goby/Courtjester Goby...

So I purchased one of these guys 2.5 weeks ago...I acclimated him right and all my parameters are all good. Well when I saw these fish at my LFS they were sifting some sand and swimming all around the tank. However, In my 29 gallon this guy hides. I haven't seen him since the first day I bought...well, I barely see him. I call him Ghost because of this...I never name my fish.

Anyways.

He only comes out to graze off algae on the live rock every once in awhile or whenever I lift up some of my live rock he darts out. I just want to know if anyone owns one, and what you experience with them.

Thanks.

I also have 2 clowns and 2 blue green chromis. By parameters I mean that my water quality is good and stable. Each test readings (pH, salinity, Nitrate, etc.) lie within healthy ranges for my fish. The Clowns and the Chromis never bother the Goby.

Im just ****ed because I barely see that fish. So I'm guessing you own one?

I have three theories:
1) your more active fish are scaring the goby (depending on the clown species and their size they may also be harassing it when you aren't looking)
2) your water parameters are actually out of whack and it is just taking the goby longer to adjust. What do you mean by "health ranges"? The more precise the better.
3) there is no problem and the goby will become more active with time.

I'd put my money on option 1.
