got an lps dominated tank mostly well well paid chalices and Acans....and others...
my display is about 57 gallon ...i am aware of the how lethal the bta's could be and prepare to cut back on my sleep.......
it'll be a small clone may be about 2"
need sme expert advise how to acclimate and things need to keep in mind ...
thanks

I would drip acclimate for 2 1/2 hrs then turn all power head either off or down place it in a spot and hope it stays they really like a rock with holes in it so then can hide their foot . If all goes well you can slowly turn the flow up . Post pictures please.

i will..i am getting it this tuesday...
how about lights....does it matter if i acclimate it during my photo period??

I don't think it really matters what kind of lighting do you have . Is it the same kind as where is it coming from ? if so I would not worry about it too much

Whoa, I don't know if I agree with the above advise. 2.5 hours IMO is incredibly too long for a BTA. At this point since you haven't stated contrary, I'm going to assume its a captive clone. While I can understand being conservative, such a long time could stress it out more than a faster acclimate. Assuming a healthy specimen, I would start with a temp temp acclimate in the bag. Then over about 1/2 hour drip acclimate to your water conditions. Pull it out of the bag and place in appropriate place in tank. You can turn off powerheads to let it attach, but turn them back on shortly. BTAs will move to where they feel best, and flow is part of the equation. Make sure they are covered!!
