My RBTA wont come out!!

Hi guys,

Purchased a small RBTA couple of weeks back...it moved around for few days and has settled in a small hole in some LR...its tenticles dont really come out further that the entrance to the hole where it is... and sometimes seem retracted inside of the nem itself!!...The nem has settled mid water and im running 2 x 50/50 T5's

All params seem ok...all LPS corals and fish seem to be doing well.
My concern is that the reason it doesnt stick its tenticles out is because of my pair of Tom clowns...more so the female...when first introduced she would hover around the nem. So im thinking that as soon as the Nem starts to come out my female clown harasses it...

When i feed the fish she doesnt take food to the nem...she's too greedy to share!!!

Any thoughts??? and what can i do??

Thanks.

Is it ordinary T5's or T5HO's what wattage are they in total?

You could try pointing a powerhead towards the rock and it should move then but thats only if you cant feed it properly

I was going to say give it some time, but then i saw the "few weeks" and realized that its probably acclimated and used to the tank by now. Could be the clowns playing too ROUGH... but if its eating then let it be and it should hopefully come out... if its not eating then you have a problem.

When you say SMALL it must be harassed by your clowns. How big is the anemone? And how bout the clowns? The anemone must at least be 3x bigger than the clown. Have you tried feeding the anemone yet?

I fed a small piece of prawn after a week of it been in.

now been in just over 2 weeks...not fed since...should i try feeding again?

the Nem is about 3-4" across ...my female clown is about 3" in size!!

went home tonight and after feeding the fish...i decided to turn the pumps off and try feeding the nem some brine shrimp formula one flake. size of flake was about 1" by 0.5"...

The nem took it and then closed up around it...quite quickly...
after a few mins it had eaten the flake. then it opened back out and started to extend...but not further than the hole entrance (which it has been doing for last week or so as i've stated above)...

but im thinking that if its eating then its a good sign...

your thoughts.
