My Red magnifica and clowns

I got a mid size about 8 inches or so Red Magnifica about 6 weeks ago. He is in Quarantine system in a 100 cube tank right now. I also got a pair of Onyx clown with him. They laying eggs every 2-3 weeks at this time. here are some picture of this trio.
One problem with this group is that my Onyn faded and look not anywhere near as dark as they were when they don't have an anemone or when they are with my Haddoni.

where did you get it? any good recommendation to a good/reliable place?

i have seen one brown/brown one fs at Petco that lived in their tank for 2 weeks for $40 but i must pass as i want a more red or purple base one.

I got mine local here in Corpus Christi. There is one LFS that bring these guy in once in a while. I usually just wait until I can get one I like. They are expensive but I guess I got to pay for what I like.

When I put my percs with a Mag all their black faded within a few days.... They were originally with a Gig before that and displayed much more melanism..

This pair of clowns fade with some Magnifica but not with other. I have no idea why. Two of the my 4 Magnificas cause color fad and the other two did not in this same pair of clowns.

Interesting.... Do you think that some Mags encourage the melanism?

Because, in the gig my fish were extremely black.. Now they are without and anemone and have gotten much more black since being removed from the mag but still not what they were... I think that some anemone just promote different coloration. Not sure why. I have heard the same things about BTA.. Some make clowns lose black while others seem to have no effect or even may encourage melanism..

My fish are very dark when they are without an anemone. I had them with the 4 Magnifica, A pair Malu, several Haddoni, or without anemone. All the color are dark except the two Magnifica. I do nothing that any of the anemone encourage color. Just that some some anemone cause the clowns to loose color.
