i wish my rocks would be that pretty. Everyone likes my rocks because they are different. I have like all maroon coralline on my rocks. I prefer the purples and pinks, oh well. Looks great! and I do like the candycane growth in your tank for sure.
I'm not sure there's much to share, I'm more of a "keep your hands out, and things do better" reefer. I test once a week and if my alk is spot on thats where I stop, I fill my top off reservoir once a week. I empty and clean my skimmer cup every 4 or 5 days depending on how much has been fed. I feed some flake in the morning with lights out before I go to work, and then I feed mysis and cyclopeeze soaked in selcon and garlic after lights out in the evening. I change my GFO if I notice any algae on the glass, but my chaeto seems to be keeping up now without the help of the GFO. Oh and I clean the strainer on my return pump as often as needed, usually once every couple weeks.

Yeah it seems like no one really knows what causes one type to be more dominant than the other. I had a lot of the deep maroon with the LED's ... seems more pinkish and purple under the T-5's ... could also be the spectrum shift rather than the light source shift though. My LED's were closer to 12k-14k ... and my T-5 setup seems bluer, closer to a 17k-20k
