I'll also point out--- if you' haven't read this yet. There is current controversy about the Rhinopias. Some fish taxonomists consider both R eschmeyeri and R frondosa as the same fish.

There are many dive reports from the wild that suggest when pairs of these fish are seen -one fish looks similar to a R. frondosa and the other appears similar to R eschmeryeri, suggesting one "species" is the male and the other "species" is female counterpart.

Also a few anecdotal reports have indicated that in the aquarium R frondosa will frequently "morph" into a R eschmeryeri.

Eitherway these are beautiful fish, and out of rhinopias R. eschmeyeri are more common, however still uncommon as a fish in aquaria

strendo Thanks!
Don't get me wrong I love the fish and they're a big hit at my office. Everyone that comes by is really intrigued by them.

myerst2-Thanks for the advice I'll switch up they're diet. I actually do a lot of fishing in Jamaica bay and was thinking of catching and keeping alive some live food for them in the spring.

One thing I do to gut load everything I feed them is inject the silversides with a mix of Ro water and Selicon. I use a small bottle with a syringe tip on it used for gluing acrylic. You can get them at sign supply stores. I stick the tip into the fishes mouth and inject the liquid into the fish:

Are you sure you just didn't find that syringe on the shores of Jamaica Bay???!!!! Just kidding. Great looking fish!!! Where did you get them from? Make sure you get some red macros or even some fake red plants or the fish will quickly lose their vibrant red color. T

Funny I've definitely seen some gross stuff floating around!
I ordered them from michael @Nyaquatic. I'll put some red stuff in, maybe some mushrooms, zoos with the macros.

I've added some frags from my tank at home: Xenia, Frogspawn, Duncans, and some Zoos. I also added a couple hermits which are a big hit at the office!

The Duncan's and Xenia are growing like crazy! The bigger of the two fish has also started eating frozen cubes which are a lot more nutritious.
I want to add more shrooms and Zoos & maybe a couple easy sps frags.

And the "Dancing Crab":

All the soft coral frags I put in really took off

I like how the Xenia is growing out along the rock in this pic

I removed the smaller Rhinopea and added the frog fish that's been in my sump at home. I think that he's too big to get eaten, but you never know..

Cool-- I dig the updates, the tank looks good.

So you removed the smaller rhinopias-- where did it go- these fish aren't sump dwellers

Thanks FMarini. I put him in my sump (30g) so I could feed him live food easier. He's started eating again and I'll be moving him to my 40g frag tank, and hopefully back to this tank.

I re-arranged the rockwork in the tank last night. The tank is directly across from my desk and I end up staring at it all day. I thought the rockwork didn't look natural enough so I re-aquascaped to give it more of a natural "pilar" look. The bonsai tree inspired thread was definitely a big inspiration.

The other change I made was to their diet. I got a good deal on 50 chromies and put about 20 of them in the tank. The response was a bit underwhelming: The frogfish used his lure to try and angle out a meal, but the Rhino just sat there and stared. I only saw one chromy get eaten by the frogfish and have yet to see the Rhino eat.
They're probably stressed because of the new aquascape..

I have a few updates to report:
We had our first hot weekend recently and of course the AC in the office didn't come on like it was supposed to! I happened to stop in on Saturday and it was 93 degrees. Luckily I have controllers on both tanks that shut the lights off, but the water was still 88 degrees.
The nice pieces of xenia I had growing on the overhanging branch completely melted, most of the other coral and fish luckily were fine.

The other update was I added a 250w MH pendant that I won on reefbuilders.com. I wasn't planning on adding this much light to the tank (and I am having to scrape the glass more), but the corals are loving it!

Tank with new light:

The frogspawn is doing great:
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/irEl5bzRVCfmV0xGAuNcfg?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_NPIRWKuZUJQ/SgB6LvDQDgI/AAAAAAAACVE/G41Rla7ByBk/s800/IMG_0728.jpg" /></a>

Another duncan frag from my tank at home:

I've had this bubble coral for almost 3 years already:

Oh and I brought the other Rhyno back from my sump at home. They actually seem to like each other and everyone is eating well again (both frozen silversides and chromies whenever they manage to catch one)

I just bought a new camera and a 100mm macro lens:

Great tank, thread and pics!

I already have a tough enough time staying off the forums at work... I don't think I'd get anything done with a sweet little tank like that in my office

Thanks stunfeefer, I'm constantly tinkering with the tank cause I stare at it all day.

I'm thinking of ordering some shrooms to put along the base of the rockwork over the sand
