On a fish that is; mine are fine. Several months ago I added a Yellow Candy Hogfish that was particularly difficult to net out of my LFS tank. It hid for 10 days and then emerged with one eye bulging way out of its socket. I feared the worst, but over the ensuing weeks it appeared to heal and is now normal size, although it looks like it lost part of the pupil. Suffice it to say that the Hog is now front and center and feeds with both eyes open, so to speak.
About six weeks ago I added a Coral Beauty. Unlike the Hog, it was an easy catch and acclimated to the community almost immediately. For the first several weeks it poked around the rockwork and ate well at feeding time. It still swims throughout the tank and feeds aggressively when fed, but now has a bulging eye. Am I missing something? My clown was the first inhabitant in the tank almost a year ago and has never had a bulging eye. What's up?
