does anyone know where it is drawing the bubbles from? i watch it and its not coming from the top... its completely submerged and only started to do this last week... it blows out little bubbles everywhere around my tank. any recommendations?

i did a test by turning it off and then on again then a bunch of small bubbles shoot out... what can it be? time to change them? i have had them for a year

alan... you serious foo? is that what happen in your tank?

well ill just take it out and take it apart and clean it inside out instead of the kick method haha

I had Seio 1100 for 2 weeks and it broke on me, took it out and the inside magnet has a crack.

Piece of ^%$#.

its coming from the top. My will start a vortex and spit out the bubbles. Just move it down a bit, u prob have it close to the top.

if its shooting out bubbles the air has to come from somewhere. maybe you somehow got a bubble in there. otherwise your intake may be clogged somehow so much thats its causing the pump to cavitate.

the extreme guess would be that the pump is shorting somewhere in the water and the bubbles are the resulting O2 and H2 gasses from the breakdown of the water. not sure. eliminate everything else possible before you guess that something is broken. Its likely something simple like an air bubble

scott... would you recommend me just taking them out and opening it up for a cleaning? i know its not coming from the top (vortex) i have had that before but then i moved it down and now its spitting bubbles still. just not alot... i think it might be a big bubble inside and its being broken up into bits and shooting out. ill let you guys know if my hardcore dissassembly cleaning works

take it out, and clean it. i like the vinegar bath method for a few hours or overnight. its amazing what gets caked on. when you resubmerge it do it in a way that would let the bubbles out if there are any in there (i do mine intake hole up since its usually the largest) then shake it around underwater to get any of the remaining air that might be trapped at other places in the housing.

if youre still getting bubbles after a week or so of it running after cleaning then its beyond me.
