lol.
An unseen side effect to having my sump in the garage is some unexpected company.

I walked out to my garage this morning and found this making a B line for the first chamber in my sump. Apparently he was attracted to the sound of falling water (I know nothing about crayfish) because he headed straight for it. I've never had one in my garage before.

I do live on a lake that is full of them.

He was deperately trying to get into my sump.

Tell him to go get about 20 lbs. of his buddies and then get yourself some crab boil, a few ears of corn, some new potatoes and a few cold beers and have yerself a feast!!

Suck the heads, eat the tails!!! I love me some crawdaddies!!!

The pond behind my house is PACKED full of them. just beyond that pond is a swamp conservation area that backs up to the second largest lakes in Florida. I'm pretty sure the swap area is where they are coming from.

You can walk the shores and see hundreds of claws.

But in 6 years since this house was built I've never seen one in my garage.

An alligator yes, crawdads no.

love the crawdad :D

Have you had a walking catfish on your sidewalk yet? That was a first for me :)

Awesome cube, love the light. Looks great!

I will :)

I need to get some pictures. I've got 5 major colonies and 7 or 8 frags in the tank and 11 fish :D

Here are some. I am NOT a photography guy. I have a very simple point and shoot digi camera. An inexpensive one at that. I don't have photoshop or know how to use it and I don't have actinics. WYSIWYG or as best as I can get it :)

New colony I just picked up today. It was in the LFS tank for only a day too so its super stressed and colors are washed. The only way I could get some of the colors to show up was to use a flash.

tanks looking great......looks like its pretty full already...HAHA.....great looking anthias. They are the next fish I add to my tank, have not settled on the species yet but I want a very large group maybe 10

Thanks GSM, your tank was a big inspiration to me. You played a part in this build when you referred me to Envision Acrlyics

Liam,
Ignitus anthias are the most colorful I've seen. The camera gives them little justice. I've only ever seen them available online.

Here is another quick photo I just took

:eek2: Wow. I love everything about your aquarium. Great cave areas.
I love the look of your sand type, it's pretty. What kind of sand are you using? :)
