My short film "Montipora"

I tried to PM you, but it didn't go through. So...

Hi Tremont,

The box you saw in your thread is on loan to a friend right now. If you like, I could ship it to you to give it a try, but the top section definitely adds some shading.

Thanks Melev, I was just kidding around about selling me one...It's not a problem for me to build my own, I just need to spend some time thinking about exactly how I want to set my shots up before I do it (I'm thinking of some kind of box that I can clamp to my glass so that it is stable over weeks of time).

The viewing box really doesn't have to be stable for that long, since you are using it to penetrate the surface. Algae and dirt would accumulate on the viewing panel. It's the camera you have to keep fixed for a time-lapse duration like you are indicating. I would mark the tank in some way so you can put the box back in place in the sam place and angle each time, but I wouldn't leave it long term.

I'm going to show the full film at baymac tomorrow if anyone in the bay area is interested in seeing it.

I'll be there. I've already seen your terrific movie. Please stop by the North Coast Reefers booth and say hey.

I really liked this video !! it's an awesome work and really well executed ! I watch it like 6 times already and is always amaze me how well it's done and how much work you put in that projet ! I cannot wait to see the rest of it :)

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I will probably be posting the whole thing online today.

I haven't worked on my coral stuff in a few months as I'm pursuing another project...but maybe when I'll hop back on it in the wintertime.

Sweet. Perfect timing, as RC is about to go into sleep-mode in a few minutes. Thanks in advance! :)

EDIT: Darn, there seems to be a problem with the URL. :(
