My shrimps keep stealing my anemone's food! How do I prevent this?

Everytime I feed my anemone a piece of food, the anemone will take the food and close up, but then the shrimps come and nips and pry open the anemone to get the food out. How do I stop this?

feed the shrimp first. Something that will take awhile to eat, and feed the anemone as soon as you can after.

I drop down shrimp pellets for the shrimps to eat prior to feeding the anemone.

try not to allow this as it can be really bad for the anemone , even potentially kill it..it can injure the mouth while trying to rip the food out..

I'd agree with feeding the shimp first. I generally just give them a small piece of shrimp to go gnaw on somewhere. For some reason, now, they don't even bother my anemone even when I don't feed them first. Now, if I could just figure out how to keep my tang from trying to steel the anemone's food. . .

This ****es me off more than anything. I want to kill my cleaner shrimp when he does this.

Yeah, I've tried this and it did work, but 30 minutes later. I fed my shrimps like you guys said and it worked initially until I put the food in my anemone's mouth. They dropped their pieces of food and started attacking. After playing around with them for 30 minutes they must have gotten tired and just ate the freakin food I gave them initially.
