nice. i just started with sps in my 30g, hopefully itll look good like yours. keep up the good work

Thx for your kind words nsyahron, good luck with your new tank ..

Not sure how I have missed this thread for so long. Absolutely stunning tank. I must say I am very partial to your new aquascape compared to your old one. Very nice growth too.

Thx JasonBJones ... Yeah, i like my new scape too ..

I also have 2 clowns and a coral beauty in my tank. The other residents are ORA neon dottyback, royal gramma, and a yellowtail damsel, which have all gotten along well.

No personal experience with sixlines, but I hear they can be quite aggressive so the royal gramma may be an issue. The dottyback will definitely be OK though, it'll likely become the most aggressive fish in the tank.

I've had bad experiences with dottyback, do you think it's okay some dottyback along with my sixline ?

sixline very aggressive, last time I enter a yasha goby into my tank, he only lasted two days ..

If you're so worried about the sixline, why not just exchange him for a more peaceful inhabitant? Sixlines are considered the devil to me... killed all of my fairy wrasses after I introduced it to my other tank.

Yeah, that's why I say the dottyback should be fine. It will be more aggressive then the sixline so likely there won't be much fighting since the dottyback will be added afterwards.

If you go with anything peaceful (like the royal gramma I mentioned) then the sixline may kill it quickly.

One other tip: I've also found with aggressive fish that using a breeder box helps out. I leave all my new introductions into the tank in the breeder box for about a day for all of the current tank residents to "get used to it".

What about if the current tank residence is the more aggressive one? Old clown is being mean to my new one.

That's what I mean by the breeder box trick. The dottyback is the most aggressive fish in my tank, and I've had it for quite some time now. I use the breeder box with new fish to let the dottyback "acclimate" to them. If I introduce the new fish right away the dottyback is a complete bully. After a couple of days she will calm down though.

And strike back after a couple month :lmao:

I have some nomination's here, give me feedback please ...

- Firefish
- Multicolor Lubbock's fairy wrasse
- Potters angel
- Multicolor Angel

How bout that ?Any other suggestion maybe ?

I see fire fish and wrasse being killed by the sixline... and the angels being harassed constantly by the coral beauty. Angels don't mix with other angels in small tanks from my experience. And sixline like to kill all things small and peaceful. :(

Taking the sixline out would open a lot of options for you. Perhaps a springeri or orchid or sunrise dottyback would be a nice addition if you intend on keeping your sixline. Reason why you had bad experiences with a dotty is because you had the bicolor dottyback... which is known as an absolute terror!

You old clown is being mean to your new one to show its dominance. Same thing going on in my tank. I decided to net the old one in the "breeder box" instead though to let the new one gain confidence around the tank first since she's very passive.

Adding another angel will most certainly result in it's death. I tried to add a potter's angel and the coral beauty killed it. Unless you remove your coral beauty, adding another angel is absolutely not an option.

Agree with buddythelions comments for sure.

Thx for your advice ange and buddy ,, finally i have a new fish, its a damsel and blenny..
And, a good thing is, my sixline and coral beauty dont touch them :D
i'll take some pic after they settle in ..

Meanwhile, this is another shoot from my SPS ..

Congrats on a great tank.

I just read through the thread. Are you still using your ecoray 60d?

Thx for your kind word kevlow .. And yes, i still using ecoray 60d with 16 blue led for supplement. I'll add another supplement with 15 RB, 4 CW and 1 violet for combination.

Love the new coral shots. How are the new fish doing? Any pictures or more info on what you ended up getting?

@Ange ..

My damsel died after 3 days, as usual, my sixline show its true power .. After that, i add 3 green chromis and 1 limbaughi chromis .. good news is, until this day they still alive and my coral beauty and sixline stop chasing them ..

Sorry to hear about the damsel, but glad to hear the latest attempt is working out. The coral beauty can definitely be a terror, and although I haven't had one I hear the sixlines are also.

Latest pictures look great!
