Hey guys and girls here is my slice of the Great Barrier Reef.
Tank size: 150x70x60cm

Sump size: 80x60x40cm

Skimmer: skimz sk 201

Lighting: ATI 6x80w
3x ATI blue+
1x ATI aqua blue special
2x aqua science special 15000k

Frag tank lighting:
Maxspect mazara p series

Return pump: waveline Dc 6000

Flow: 2 jebao wp 40

Fish:
Regal tang
Orange shoulder tang
Sail Fin tang
Lawnmower blenny
Six line wrasse
Green chromis
Coral beauty anglefish

As I live near the Great Barrier Reef I am aiming to achieve a piece of reef from the 2-4 meter range as close to nature as I can achieve. all fish and corals have come from Australian collectors. Some corals have been aquacultured.

Did you remove the sand after the tank was established ? Did that upset the balance ?


I did remove the sand bed after the tank was set up. It did upset things a little but a couple large water changes sorted it out nicely

Filtration method is just good live rock, heaps of flow and a big skimmer.
 
Hey guys and girls. So over the last couple days while I was at work my clam has decided after a year and a half that it's not happy in its normal spot and went for a walk half way round the tank. Oh well as long as he's happy [emoji23]
