My smithii might be dead

Woke up this morning and he is curled up under the rock hes usually at and none of his swimmerettes are moving and he is not responding when i shine the flashlight on him. Hes completely motionless. Is it possible he is molting(keeping my first 2 mantis' at the moment and never seen a molt yet)? Kind of bummed right now since I had a scare when I acclimated him 2 weeks ago. The past couple days he has been pretty active and smashing the crap out of anything and everything. I tested the water and there isnt an ammonia spike yet so im not sure what to think.

0ppm Amm.
0ppm NO2
0ppm NO3
1.024 salinity
78F-80F
8.2 PH

Kind of odd if he is dead but the other guy on here that got a Smithii from Blue Zoo the same time I did had his die a few days ago and his params were also good.

Interesting. My smithii i got from blue zoo also died. Almost same way too, under a rock kinda curled. Everthing else in my tank is fine and i cant figure out what it was. Bummer.

Yep hes dead. No idea what went wrong. Kinda ticked to have paid that much and have him die not 2 weeks later.

hmm chances are that it could just be a chemical getting in the water from your hands or something but besides that i have no idea

where did you get your mantis from i have been looking for a peacock or other brightly colored one for a month now
