my sn8bit fraggs

Here are a few of the fraggs I got from sn8bit.

These are my favorites.... I just had 4 polyps and now have 6 with some babies. The pics do not do this zoa justice at all! My camera washes colors out and together. He sold it to me as "solars" and they have the same pattern as on zoaid but have lost some pop under my PC's in QT.

Hmm I thought I took a flash shot of just it but here it is to the right of thr bigger colony.....

These are my 2nd favorite from him...

This is a close up of the biggest colony I got from him. Same frag as pic #2. It has 3 differeny varieties on it. The brown, the green skirts and a bunch of green bay packers on the bottom side. The GBP's looked exactly like the pic on zoaid but they have browned out a lot under my PC's. I am planning on fragging this rock out to seperate the three colors.

This is another actinic shot of the colony..

The bright orange ones peeking through on the actinics are real nice also. More a true all over orange. I got I think 6 polyps of it.

The top ones in the top pic look like they'd be nice and bright when they open. I really like those PE's, though. I have some from Casey (from months ago-not the ones from Steve) that have picked up a strong pink/white ring and are starting to speckle. I'll see about getting a shot.

What are those PE's in the upper right hand corner of the first shot?

Upper right corner is a true red PE with green mouth from steve. They are real nice. A little different than the red PE's I got from casey. Sorry I didn't get a full shot of it. You are a true zoa conisure if you are scanning the shot for the hidden zoas in the corner of the pics ;) I didn't even know it was peeking in there!

I also have 2-3 varieties of the kinda plain under regular lights but pop wow wee under actinics like the ones you mention in the first shot Gary. I have some super peach centers that were closed up last night. I will post some of my goodies from "uner the sea" up in Blountville (east tn) in a bit.

This is some zoas I got from a trip up to uner the sea last time I was home. The store was unbelivable. It had a monster tank underway in the main part of the store and huge coral holding tanks. The most livestock I have ever seen in one place. Everything was super clean and well organized. They had a large variety of corals from zoas to SPS. There prices were VERY good for what they had to offer.

They had this rock on the website for $35 and it was very well worth it. It is coloring up very nice under my PC's so I can't wait to see it under better lights!

And this rock has some nice variety.

And I got some tiny red polyps and a beauliful glowing peach center zoa. It really is nice under actinics. Didn't get a shot of them last night.

There was a drawback to my shopping experience though. Nudies, spiders and a mystery crab! All the zoas are wild caught, naturally so you always have to deal with the posibility of pests.

This is why you should never buy a wild colony and not QT/dip it!!

I don't want anyone to think bad of the store just because I got some pests on my zoas. ANY, ANY, Any coral can have pests and this just shows it is our responsibility as a hobbiest to properly QT our animals. Even is the come from fellow hobbiests because we sometimes don't know we even have a pest. That store was by far the nicest store I have ever seen! I will definetly hit them up every time I go home. They are about 50 mins from my mothers house.
I dipped all the zoas again last night and got 2 more big nudies off the blue rock. I have been lazy about being consistent with the dipps. I plan on dipping every other day for 2 weeks starting last night to hopefully erradicate the nudies before I can offer up any trades safely.

Angela- You have some nice stuff... once these orange rics that I got from sn8kbit split another one off, I'll have to make a trade with you for the stuff you snagged before I got there :) On another note, thanks for posting the pics of those spiders. I haven't had any pests that I know of (and hopefully it stays that way) but it's nice to know what to be looking for. I always dip, but if I ever miss anything and it gets into QT it'll nice to know what I'm up against.

Ahhh, you got those super rics! Yea please put me in line for one. I have orange purple rimmed ones but no where the intensity of those! Always up for a nice trade :) Just LMK

First time back to the board since after the selloff. Glad the frags are doing well Angela! I can tell you I miss my tank, I didn't realize just how much time I actually spent on the tank until it was completely gone.

Ditto on responsible dipping. While I did my best to let everyone know to dip, it's nice to know I haven't gotten any negative feedback on anyone's purchases.
