I have a question for those knowledgable about snails. I have a few snails, maybe 2 of each kind of narcissus snails and trochus snails (might have one or two turban snails but haven't seen them) in a 10G nano. In the last 3 days my tank's gotten really cloudy from their breeding activity. Once it was three days ago, and then again this morning.
Because there are so few of them I don't even know if there is one of each though the odds are what - 33% that I have one of a kind? So, the question is, can or would snails release sperm if there are no females of their kind? Or do they do it only because there are females they know out there.
