My Sons Nano Update

Have not gotten around to post updates on sons tank in a while. The tank has been doing really good ever since it crashed a while back. Currently we are doing weekly 5 gallon water changes with no supplements added.

How much would a 24' 4 Bulb T5 Fixture Cost? Currently we have a 2 bulb PC Fixture with a total of 72 watts.
My son started asking about keeping Harder corals and knows we cant keep them with PC Lighting as we currently have. What would you guys recommend?

T5s can be very affordable. I also have a 150w 20k halide I can give you for cheap if you want it

gut the pc fixture and retro a 24 dimmable LED kit. ~$100, but definitely worth the investment.

Yeah dimmable would solve that problem but why run 24 LEDs at 20% power when you can use 12.

If you think you want to go led route instead of T5 I'll help you out all it takes is a bit of soldering but retrofitting is your show

because it's cheaper, energy efficient, and runs a lot cooler.

t5 you need new bulbs every what? 6-9 months?

led = 5 years. it cost $130 shipping for a diy kit.

but when it comes to it, it's personal preference on the type of color you want to acheive

Please read my post before speaking next time. Thanks.

BTW, if your son wants another frag of the leather you are welcome to it. I'll cut some off and stick it on a rock just let me know so I can get it attached.
