So it's up and running.... Wel basically just threw in the live sand, live rock and saltwater now just waiting for it to clear up so I can see how to do my rockscape.

Yeah John I was looking at that also it does look a little droopy there.

Steve, yeah that's where I had my pico before just changed the board to a bigger one might end up doing another board on top or find a way to support it.... Just glad it's a small tank :)

Add a leg or two! Another board on top is not really a structural help, it will just slow down the eventual droop.

Not even if I glue it and screw it down on top?

Nope! It's better but you are trying to make the wood stiff in the direction in which it's designed to bend. Think big tree and wind...

You could turn the leg into a feature/useful part. Use a board as wide as the extension. From there pegs sticking out could be used to hang 'stuff'. Screw in a small piece at 90 degrees to the leg and you have a shelf. Put more 'stuff' there.

Put all that on the inside and hide all the 'stuff' that ends up all around the tank.

I have a black stand that was made for a 20L if I'm correct that I don't use. Its a lot better than where your tank is at now. Let me know. That's if you have room for a stand.

Good I idea John I'll see what I can come up with.... If you can't see under the shelf is the outlets I will use for the timer for the lights.

Thanks for the offer Jason but unfortunately I don't have any room.

Update: water has cleared ill work on the rockscaping tomorrow. Also might need a better heater the one I have now is not warming my tank.

Picked up a cheap 50w from the place on piner. The heater itself is garbage but what I also noticed is that there isn't much or any flow through the compartment on the right where the pump is. So my temps where 74 in the tank and 80 in that compartment when I had it there. Had to switch it to where the filter is. So basically now I have purigen on top of a bag of carbon and then some floss ontop of that. Pretty ghetto but it works.

I got a small cheap one also at my work and put it in the display the cool thing is that it's also black so it blends in with the black wall. Might end up buying another one when we get more in.

So finally my brother had time to hook up my lights and it really sucks because only 2 neutral whites and the one UV are the only ones powering up. Just sent Mike at RapidLED an email and hopefully I can get replacements soon maybe even have them dropped off at the meeting.

Getting my replacement LEDs delivered to the meeting by Mike from RapidLED and doing my water change today so it's ready to start anew :)

Great start so far. Will be fun to add corals and have plenty of room for whatever u want

thanks and yes it is fun except for the lack of space lol.... hopefully one day i will be able to get back to my 40 breeder or even my dream tank.... a shallow lagoon type tank :)

Already got the new zoas in the tank as well as the little clownfish now all I need to do is wait for my brother to finish my lights hopefully tomorrow they will go on.

Thanks all for the fun time and especially Grant for helping me get in the swap and don't worry I'll get you back next one.

If you can't get lights on it tomorrow your welcome to barrow my lights and ballast. It's just sitting here.
