What is the pink sps in the middle? Its hard for me to tell, is it a digi? If so what color was it when you got it (peach, pink??). It's very nice!!

Yes, it is a monti digitata. In the most tanks this digi looks like this:

The color in my tank is: PINK

What´s the basic system ? :D

Are you dosing aminoacids ?

Are you running DSB or BB ? Is not clear to me

And for last, can you add a picture from your sump ??

Regards

The basics of Zeovit are:

- Zeovit
- bacs
- Zeofood
- coal
- Zeostart

I use the AA from Prodibio (ReefBooster)
The sand layer in the tank is very thin 1-2".

Brilliant! I love the aquascaping.

Are you using the new 12xt5 Giesemann matrix?
How do you like the total t5 setup?

Thanks for sharing! I always enjoy your pictures.

Iwan,

And what about Ca, Alk and Mg.....which level do you keep in your tank ?

Do you also dose stronti and Iodi from prodibio ?

Regards

Beautiful!!!

I love everything about it. I like this one better than the last one. You have a great eye and a tallent for sps tanks. Please keep us updated as things grow.

Mg 1350
Ca 400-420
Alk 6.5-8

I use the "Balling" system.

I do not dose stronti, iodine or other trace element stuff.

Very Interesting, you keep your alk in the low range 6.5 -8

Most of the SPS tanks has alk between 9-12 dKH

Now just one thing is missing, a picture from your sump :-)

With the ZEOvit method, raising alkalinity above 8 dKH can be detrimental and even lethal to SPS at higher levels.

I think he has already mentioned that he doesn't have a sump. I may be wrong though all that color has gone to my head. :)

Denadai I've never seen Prodibio or Zeo tanks with that high of Alk. you talk about.

I've seen a lot of USA Zeo tanks but for some reason these European Zeo tanks are just unreal in comparison. I don't know what you guys do differently but it works!

I heard from a german author that most of you guys use carbon and throw it out every week and replace with fresh carbon, do you Iwan?

What about water changes
What salt are you using right now?

Awesome tank's you have as always.

That was weird, I didn't make that comment about the sump but I've been quoted as writing that. Denadai should get the credit for that comment.

Actually that was the case several years ago. The general thinking has swung back in the direction of keeping alk about 1dKH over natural seawater (~7 dKH) which would be around 8 dKH FWIW.

One of, if not the nicest colored tanks in the world. Only wish I could see it in person. Iwan is an artist :artist:

Iwan, have you posted the names of your corals. The colors are so good its hard to identify them.

Does anyone know why a higher alk causes problems using the zeo method and/or probidio method. I would think it may have something to do with the super low nutrients, but it would be good to know.

Why ??? Someone can explain it ?
