My stand broke

In the middle of moving and last step was to take the tank off the stand and carry the stand out

While lifting the stand, it completely fell apart. Can't believe how lucky I am it did not fall apart with the tank on it!

Now the hard part... where can I find a stand for a 72 gallon bow front ?

Online options seem very limited and my LFS does not have any in stock

That is why you do not slide tanks with water in them on a stand. It would have collapsed unless you pushed it from the side as long as it was level. That is an obscure stand. You may need to make one. If it were myself, I would cut out plywood in the shape of the bottom of the tank and stack 2 cynder blocks end on end for each corner. Put a table cloth over so it just looks like a table. I am good with wood working, but it is such a pain working the rounded surfaces. It is all about what is acceptable aesthetically.

The tank was empty when we picked it up off the stand.

I bought the stand used a few years ago and had it refinished. The bottom was rotted out and so were some of the supporting wood

Anyway, I need to find a new one.

Your location might help for stand build.

So lucky and glad to hear tank did not fail w/it

I'm curious what stand, was it MDF?
