I have a Red nobbie star fish and lately when he falls off the glass and lands on his back, he doesn't turn over. He looks like he tries to, but just can't or doesn't do it.
IMO not a good sign. I'm no expert, but it sounds like he's not doing too well. How long have you had him, in what size tank and what have you been feeding him?
I'm not sure anyone really knows what kind of diet they need. They seem to do best in large tanks like your, but have a track record of not making it much more than a year in captivity. Maybe due to slowly starving or a nutritional deficiency... or so I've read.
