My stocking list

Yup That Stuff
So i think i have come up with a list of animals to put in the tank.

Possum Wrasse (Wetmorella nigropinnata)
2 Misbar clowns (Amphiprion ocellaris var.)
RBTA (Entacmaea quadricolor)

maybe
2 harlequin shrimp (Entacmaea quadricolor)

What do you think? They will be in a 20L.

Sounds great. My only concern (if it were my tank) would be whether or not I could keep the water clean/stable enough for the RBTA considering the harley's diet.

You have always had a flair for the unusual and exotic. I remember your little frogfish. He was the bomb! Your list sounds very interesting but I have little familiarity with any. I did put a harlequin shrimp into the zoo display to control the asternia population. He is an amazing shrimp to watch, but now we are almost out of asternias. How do you plan to feed the shrimp? Do you just throw in a starfish from time to time? I understand their diet is quite specific to starfish. Or not?

Are you going to be running a sump and skimmer Vince? If so I think you should be fine. What kind of cleanup crew are you planning and are you getting back into corals?

Jerry, I am going to feed it chocolate chip star fish once to twice a month depending on their size. If needed jerry I can buy the zoo one since it will die with out starfish to eat. yea i like the weird and interesting ones...lol...I would deff get another frogfish if he wouldn't eat the shrimp and cuc...

I will be doing weekly 5g water changes to keep the para in line as well as a HOB filter that is being turned into a fuge with carbon and a phosban reactor. The RBTA's are usually very hardy and can usually stand "dirtyer" water but I'll be keeping an eye on it and if i need to skim ill get one.

Yes i'll have some softies and LPS in there but not to much i want the focus to be more on the fish with some back round corals. with the CUC I have 8-10 red leg hermits, 2-4 nassurus snails, 1 turbo, some astraea and cerith snails. thats what i have now not sure what ill add, maybe a cuccumber.

also forgot to add a nice clam in there too. not sure whether maxima or durasa.

How do the shrimp consume the starfish? Do they devour it slowly over time? Does it pollute the tank. Does the starfish die a slow agonizing death? That would be great if the zoo can have one assuming the public isn't going to be traumatized by watching a half eaten starfish crawling around the tank.

Yes they eat it slowly. usually it lives for a few days half eatin tilll they consume it all. i would say that it would probibly put somesort of nitrates and amonia. i would think it would be slitly agonizing and probibly not for the faint of heart when it is eatin...lol...but as long as they remember to get a starfish for its food it cool addition to keep at the tank.
