My sun coral.. plz tell me what's the problem

hi Everybody
I got sun coral 2 week back and was feeding coral powder and Mysis they were coming out and then get disappear so i tried different method of taking out and feeding them in a bowl. Then again keeping back was pain so i kept it in Skimmer section and found very weird thing as they started turning black. please check the attach pic and let me know what has happen and what should i do now?

I would cut it up. I've had this happen to me before and cut the healthy part off then placed them in an area with moderate flow. After a day to "distress" I placed a top of 2 liter bottle over them and started to feed them. It wasn't till the 3rd day of doing so that they started to open back up and eat.
Wasn't sure what caused this but figured that when I feed them my critters and fish came to pick at it.
