Perry,
You already mentioned to me that your tank was overcrowded and you had no room for any more corals (even though there were several that you really wanted). Taking this opporunity to move to a larger tank might just be your best option. Would you rather have a smaller tank that is too crowded for you to enjoy, and that you are/were worried about the kalk overdose ? Or a larger one that gives you plenty of room to aquascape and plan out and watch your coral garden grow ? I think I would prefer a larger tank to grow into rather than the smaller tank that had already been outgrown

. It is not just about "bigger is better" it is about our growing with each new expereince and learning about the different coral and other livestock that we want to keep, and eventually just flat out running out of room in our current tanks and having to make sacrifices or decisions about keeping this coral or getting rid of that one. If it was already in your plans, and in your budget, to move up to a larger tank, then now seems like a good time.
Taking the corals out probably saved a few that might not have made it through the "storm", When it happened to us I really didn't have that option. So while you might have been able to filter out and "weather" the storm, you likely would have lost a few more of your livestock in the process, so you probably did the right thing

.
As for where I was when you needed help ? In far easy bay

. If we lived closer you know I would have been right there helping you out, just like everyone else who has posted their support and offerred equiptment and to hold (not take) your corals for you

.
Also, if you are planning to take a break from the hobby and don't want it any more, make sure to post in the flashlight group buy thread that you need to withdraw. If you still want one, we would still be happy to drop it off to you when they arrive. You don't need the "frag bribe" for that
