My tank is three years old!

Hmmm...

I missed my tank's birthday. It was July 8th 2007 when I was given an entire reef with livestock. It had 150lbs+ of Florida aquaculture rock and lots of critters and fish. The only corals was a nearly gone green favia (still have it), and some branching hammer that I had given him a few months before he gave me the tank.

Here are the pics of the move - http://www.socaldivevideos.com/125reef/125move/

Not sure if this link is allowed, but I did detail a lot of the move/build here (watch out 34 pages!):

I think I have swapped out everything except the tank, stand and ATO in the last three years. New DIY sump, new skimmer, all new lights, new pumps, plus the addition of a media reactor (carbon) and a calcium reactor.

I think I want to do a swap to a 150g next year, trying to decide if I want to do acrylic again or glass. That means a new stand and probably a new sump too.

I also realized I should replace some of my 1" sand bed, it's been three years (or more, because we didn't disturb it when we moved it) and it's pretty gross. Thoughts?

love the montiporas... serious business...

when i redo my tank, i'm going to try to do the same kind of move like you... monti's with LPS under... maybe an acro or two... i dunno yet...

great tank mike... keep it up...

That's impressive growth...did you transfer the livestock from another tank?

Yea, here is a pic the day of the move when we were all done, you can see my 20 gallon reef packed with stuff (and I had a 10 gallon in a bedroom with a few fish and corals). All were merged with the new tank about two weeks after moving it to my house.

Thanks everyone, it's still exciting 7 years into the hobby. Always something new to spend my money on :)

I like how I went from LPS dominated to SPS dominated over the last few years.
