My tank is unlevel by this much (see pic)..should I worry?

I have a Red Sea Max S Series - 500 - about 120 gallons, 140 total water volume.

I had it level when setting up, but now with it filled, rock, sump filled, etc. - its not level front to back.

This is how bad it is:

Should I worry? From side to side the tank is pretty close to being perfectly level. The stand has adjustable feet, but you can't get to them with the sump in place. Is this out of level enough where you would drain the sump, remove and adjust the feet?

Thanks for any advice!

If it were me I'd call that good. If you're that worried go to home depot or lowes and get some wood shims.

That is something that may be okay today, but depending on the floor, and whether it can handle the aquarium, without out sagging more in the future, should be considered.

I'd shim it personally. Nothing worse than an established reef tank that goes POP in the middle of the night

i had the same issue. I used composite shims from home depot to level. if you level put some water in and recheck mine changed after getting water.

If you're on concrete and your concrete is level (lol), then check your stand for malformations in the cheap wood for sagging.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a tank being out of level, within reason. The real problem is WHY is it out of level?

If the floor and stand are both out of level but are both true and square, then no big deal. Things are just a little slanted.

If either the stand or floor are out of level because they are not true, you could have problems.

Essentially, the four corners of the tank need to be on the same plane. If they are, and that plane just happens to be unlevel, you're OK. If they're not on the same plane, you're putting pressure on the tank, and you could eventually have a problem.

Assuming you trust your stand, I would look around the tank where it contacts the stand and make sure the contact is even, ie. you don't have one corner touching the stand and the next corner has a gap under it. Do the same between the stand and the floor. If it all looks good and the contact patch is even, you're OK. If not, shim to get even contact.

Unless that's a six foot level there's no way I'd fill that with water. On a four foot tank that's probably at least 1/4" out.

Edit - just noticed it's front to back... Is the other side the same? I'd probably shim it either way.

Every time you walk into the room you will regret not leveling it. Do yourself a favor..... level it before you put everything in it. Otherwise you will get it cycled, stocked up, and settled in, and then you will have to remove EVERYTHING just to level it. While you have everything out , something will happen to the containers and you'll lose the 1 "thing" that is close to your heart because you've worked to grow it and nurture it...

Its really not going to cause a problem..
But it will haunt you the rest of your life if you are detail oriented (aka @nal)

now if it was side to side and you had a coast-coast overflow then yes it will skim water from one side much better than the other..

That said.. I would level it for sure as it would bug me even though it seems your water level is hidden by the trim.

if the concrete was level and the stand was level.. and now it's not... might need to make sure that stand is built well.. either that or if you leveled it with shims before filling it then it could have compacted the shims you used.

then it's up to you, personally I don't think it will cause any problems....

What is it on the other side of the tank? If it is out of level more on one side then the other, the tank will surely leak. The four corners need to be on the same plain, one corner can not be higher or lower than the others. I would go ahead and level it for peace of mind. Don't use wood shims, they may compress over time.
