Hi i just joined and i was wondering what other people thought about my tank. Its a ten gallon tank with approx. 90 watts of compact light, and a prizm skimmer. for water movment i use a rio hyperflow pump good for about 170 gph. Sorry if pics. are too large.(im new at this)

There's about 12 pounds of rock, 20 lbs of live sand, and 10 lbs. of crushed coral.

For fish there's a maroon clown and a very small yellow tang (too big for the tank. i know. but i will move it once it grows larger).

For corals theres a small yellow scroll frag, a tree coral, some anthelia, mushrooms, zooanthids, cabbage leather(some green),star polyps, and a small devils hand frag. Once tank has been establioshed for a little while longer i want to get some montipora and maybe a derasa calm.

This past friday i bought a small bta for my clown, but the clown has yet to go in it. There are also about 15 nassarius snails, and a couple balck turbos. Unfortunately theres some hair and slime algae and i was wondering if anyone knew of a good way to get rid of it. The tank has been up and running for a little over a month now. thanks.

Today i redid a lot of the plumbing and installed a sqwd. I also made a custom intake for the tube so it wouldnt be inside of the skimmer inlet. To make more life-like water movment i also added a spraybar that i made to the right side of the tank that is also hooked up to the sqwd. Any feedback anyone can give would be awsome. Sry about the large pics.

Here are some new pics of my setup:

hopefully you can get control of the hair algae, getting rid of that waste factory tang in a 10 gal would help lol :D Also a maroon will get to big for a 10, they would need at least a 20 IMO I like all you plumbing though, nice work.

That is a good looking anemone, obviously the tank still has some issues that need resolved (algea) I would not add anything else to the tank until you get the algea under control, do that by making water changes at least weekly with RO/DI water test for phosfer and understand that it takes 3-4 months for everything to get completely stable in a SW tank.

Another idea is create a fuge and put macro algea in it, that will out compete the algea in the main tank. Good luck I have found nanos to be very demanding and fairly unstable with my routines.

Thanks. the tang was an impulse buy. i have had the maroon in another ten gallon for almost 2 years and he has not grown a real lot. The hair algae unfortunately came from the liverock i bought off ebay. :( I also had a 10 gal. sump/refugium underneath when i first set it up, but i grew frustrated of trying to balance the water flow.
