My trip to NY

I am coming to NY this weeked to help my brother pack up for a move. What a great time to check out your LFSs. I will be in Astoria and flushing. Any recommendations on where to go. We will want to see a good selection of tanks for sale (sizes and such) and a good selection of fish and corals.

Anyone up there have rare corals for sale? I'd love to bring something home.

The only fish store in Queens that comes to mind is Fishtown and thats located on Northern Blvd in Flushing. For a better idea of places try posting on www.Manhattanreefs.com If you want to drive an hour or so theres several places out in Suffolk County that have nice selections! I've been to fishtown. They have a good tank selection from what I remember. How is there coral and fish selection? I am from long island and I dont see me driving to suffolk? I will be in the city.

They usually have a decent selection of fish and corals. I seem to remember a new place opening in Astoria but cant think of the name. Check out Manhattanreefs cause they are a vendor on that forum.

It's a small store. Their fish selection was pretty plain. Things were priced a little under what I expect to see, and I did like their $20.00/ea. frag tank.
I guess it wasn't really disappointing, it was just pretty ordinary.
