Green slimers are also known as Acropora Yongei. Do you want one Tim?
Sure, I think I can squeeze 1 more in there.

Let me know when you can pick it up.

It's always the timing isn't it Paul?

Randall thats what all us SPS nuts want, the tank to "fill in" then after a couple 2 -3 years its perfect, then overcrowded then a new tank and back to square one. I know what you mean though, I wish I could close my eyes and open them to a full tank.

I couldnt find a pic when I first set up the tank. But here is a pic dated Oct 2004. 6 months after its initial setup.

So, were your frags grown out from small frag pieces or aquired as mini colonies?

Most of my sps were either frags or small colonies when they were placed in my tank. I have bought some bigger colonies before but none of them made it.

What would you say your growth rate, per year was? Do you think the Zeovit increased growth or just coloration?

Sorry for the hijack, Randall but it's worth it know how Russ does his tank.

Zeo definitely helped. I got faster growth in 2006 when I started zeo. Zeo is worth it for me. I did loose some frags when I started but I think I may have went a bit too fast at the time. Im thinking of going to a 10K lamp next time around and see if I can get even better growth. I just have to deal with the slight yellowness a 10K provides. Not sure on the growth rates since it varies from coral to coral you know. Even with zeo, I still maintained some pretty good husbandry too. I always check my parameters, weekly, 10g(sometimes 15g) water changes weekly, never over feed and maintenance of my equipment such as cleaning my skimmer and pumps for optimum flow. Zeo is just a part of it.
