My Ultimate BC 14 build.

Well, things have finally setteled down in the tank. I lost a lot of nice corals that were finally starting to take off. I guess I just have to look at this as a learning and rebuilding opportunity.

I stop by a local reefers house and picked up some really nice frags. THANKS!

I also have ordered 4 violet leds to add to my tank. We will see if the help give the corals the "POP" I am looking for.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It is a constant learning process though....

I woke up the other morning to find my trumpet melting for no reason i could find. He was doing great before that, expanding nice, eating, and forming new heads, etc. took a couple days for the rest of the tank to recover after all that slime and stuff in the water.

I received my 4 UV's from RapidLED and got them installed. At first I was not too impressed with them as I really could not tell much of a difference, but over the last week my corals have really started to pop. This is especially true with my redish/pink acan. It almost glows.

Overall I have been really happy with the UV's. I also like the overall color of my tank, I might even have to turn the whites up a bit after I acclimate all my new corals. Right now the max setting is 30%. I might up that to something closer to 50%.

We shall see.

All my new frags are doing very well and settling in nicely.

I am starting to get some GHA. I think I am going to pick up some GFO and run it in a mesh bag. Has anyone successfully used GFO in a mesh bag and not in a reactor?

Everything is still growing well and I am still battling some GHA.

I am hoping to get some GFO from a friend this week to try.

I picked up the gfo from frank yesterday and am now running it in my tank in a mesh bag. We will see what happens.

I am really confused as to why I have GHA. Any ideas?
