My upgrade begins.....finally

I'm using a Reeflo Dart for return and I built a manifold to feed the reactors so I don't need seperate pumps to run reactors, chiller, etc.

Here is a updated shot of the tank with half the LR in. I put the rest in the sump. Wanted to keep an open aquascape on this tank. I have purchased a few fish (vanuatu naso, mimic eibli) they are in Q-tank at the moment. Haven't decided quite yet but was looking at a vlamingi tang or a sohal. Can't decide but leaning towards the vlamingi because of the way they swim end 2 end.Anyone have a sohal that they can comment on. Good or Bad???

Been awhile since I updated my thread. Everything has been going great with the tank. Purchased some more LR from GWA(Thanks Chad). Ending up getting a Vlamingi and a Kole tang.

Just recently got a few new bulbs...2-KZ New Generation coral bulb and2-KZ fiji purple. They replaced the 2 6500k and 2 actinic white bulbs. What a difference these new bulbs make. I thing i'm going to get a few more New Generation bulbs. They have a real nice color to them. I would say they appear like a 12k reeflux MH bulb.

Sorry for the bad photography, still haven't learned the settings on my camera.

:) :) :)

Awesome setup Spongy, really came together nicely

How are you digging the Reeflo Skimmer? Is it too much for your tank? Does it maintain a good head?

The Reeflo is a beast . I have upgraded it with the Reef Specialty Pro kit. Stock it performs well but with the Pro upgrade it really makes the skimmer perform at a high level. Stock it pulled about 45scfh@100w. With the upgrade it's now pulling 75scfh@105w.

I feed a ton cause I like fat fish and the skimmer keeps up without a problem.

Haven't updated my thread with any new pics for sometime so I decided to take a few pics this morning. Tank has really been running on auto-pilot for about 4 months now. Hopefully I have some time this summer to get more corals growing.
