BTW, isn't that about $.54/gallon (.39 x 1.3702 = .534)

Nope, you have to multiply times 4 cause the price is per Qt (liter)

is like filling up your car with Gas :D

Speeking of gas, it's 1.30 Euro per liter, that translates into app $ 7.28 a gallon!!!!

I hated my shoebox rent a car (Fiat Panda), but when I saw those prices, I was kinda glad.....

Water is very expensive over there ... to begin with.
People are very conservative with water, most that have a garden have barrels under their gutter downspoutes to collect water to use for plants etc... gasoline is crazy expensive ... hence why ther is a great amount of "tiny" cars over there.

The average car over there has 100HP or less. even in chassis as large as the MB E class, or BMW 5 series .. Audi A6.

My grandparents just got a new car last year, first time they have had a car w/ over 80 HP ... lol.

lol I was reading everything in the store took me a bit to realize it was german, I took about 7 years of german between high school and college, but never figured I would just naturally read it.

Problem is, you can't really compare in Euro over there to dollars over here. Yes, it does break down like stated before, but the dollar is extremely weak. We have no standard for our money, so we keep declining.

Those pictures are awesome. That store looks a little too big for me...I'd end up just hanging out for a few days and not see any other part of Germany. Sure would be cool to have one of those here.

Another cool thing was the natural light that you could see the store had - the top-level windows really made it look inviting and open...
