My weakness, need suggestions

Then like others have mentioned its in your DT just not visible at the moment. Any new fish or tang additions once stressed will most likely succumb to ich...

exactly, its in the DT. if you add a PBT it will become infected. u dont always see ich. sometimes it affects the gills. if you dont think its in the DT then setup a small QT and put a newly purchased PBT in it. keep it there until u are sure it is not infected. i usually do a month. if it has spots in the QT then treat it in the QT with copper or hyposalinity. after you dont see any ich then wait atleast a month to add to the DT. Now that you know that u have a disease free fish add it to the DT. if it then gets ich u know u have to remove all fish and treat in the QT. to rid a DT of ich it has to be fallow (no fish)! for 9-12 weeks. i think thats the time frame. What people are trying to tell you is that you'll be wasting your time QTing your new fish because your display likely still has ick in it even though your current fish display no symptoms. Add a new sensitive tang to that tank and you could have a full-on outbreak that could cause your "ick-resistent" fish to get sick too. It could crash your whole system quite quickly.

Believe me, I've been there and it's enough to make you tear out your hair.

Buy a high quality one online from a reputable place such as I-bluewater. It will be eating before shipping and should come out of it very well
