My Weird Ritteri

Hey ya guys, still remember this ritteri that, when i brought it home, lost half of its tentacles

its really a fast grower that recovered to its full

but the weirdest thing about it is

it never balls up! nor stand up!

it just lays flat on the rock like this:

Tagging along. I have one that does that all day and night long but balls up right after the lights go out for about 20 minutes, and stands up for about an hour between blues on and full lighting. When I first got it it didn't lay flat, but it has been doing it ever since the first month or so.

I have seen a couple of mags that exhibit this exact behavior in both the LFS and in a private tank. I myself don't have a lot of personal experience with this behavior as mine likes to stand as tall as it can with the lights on. When I ask about it, my usual response is that it is normal and that they use the mouth as a main indicator of trouble. Hope this helps.

My Mag is 50/50. Right side is elevated and the left hugs the rocks. I've only seen it ball up a couple of times.

wow, this one looks like a monster. hopefully mine will grow to this size soon
