My WP40

I got my WP40 last weekend. So far I'm lovin it. I finally have some back and forth water movement in the tank. I had been running 3 different korolias, one of the was always giving me trouble. I replaced the troublesome one with the WP40.

I have been running it on the W1 mode which allows me to adjust the pulse frequency. I have found the sweet spots so I can have a good 2" wave run the length of the tank or the width of the tank, which is kind of cool. I think my corals will like the extra random flow.

There are 5 modes to mess with too. High and low constant on, 3 wave maker modes, all pulse length adjustable, and a random mode that randomly changes the pulse length.

I've been hearing a lot of great things about these pumps lately and really want to get one for my tank. Where did you get yours?

Maybe we can do a group buy. I am debating swapping out my MP40wes. Seems like they don't get me quite as much flow (compared to me running a Coralife 5800 -2 pumps + a MP40wes).... or may be I just need to clear out my rock work (and my frag racks)...

I have 2 for my build.. They are pretty big FWIW About 5" long and 4" wide.. Just tested in a brute and they move some serious water. I'll be mimicking ecotech flow patterns with my reef angel ;) .. If you guys are still undecided and my tank isn't up by the next meeting I'll bring one up so you can check it out. Actually I'll probably only use one at first with 4 mp10s so I'll bring it if you are all interested to see one in person..

Yes they are pretty big, they are just a little lo get then the korolias but they are twice as big around. They can move a lot of water tho.
Ill have to figure out how to get a video posted. If my tank were rimless it would splash water out of the tank.
