my zoa just ate mysis

i was feeding my clowns some mysis and cyclopeeze and one of my armor of god zoas sucked in a huge piece of mysis and has been closed since. the zoa is about the size of a dime. i'm suprised that they would eat mysis. i've heard they will sometimes take cyclopeeze or zooplankton, but never anything that big.

anyone else witness this?

Haven't had any of my zoas do it yet, but one of my small polyped red Gonioporas did. The polyps are tiny, and while feeding my acan a shrimp landed on the goni colony and two polyps started to suck it in at the same time. It ended up being like the spaghetti scene on Lady and the Tramp.

yeah, ive only see the big protopaly/zoanthid gigantus take on something that big.

hopefully it wont choke on that big mysis though
