Those aren't clove polyps in the Pink Zippers right?

Being a LOTR fan, I love the name "Eye of Sauron".

I also have a Galaxy S3 and am a bit surprised by the range of visual quality. I know it is possible to get sharp macro focus. Which OS is your gf's phone? With Ice Cream Sandwich I had to specifically set the focus to macro mode. It appears that Jelly Bean has removed that need.

Sadly, those are clove polyps. Those and the clavuleria are really hard to get rid of. I think the OS is jellybean bc she just got it as a gift last November. Most of the pics were simply taken with point and shoot, and then I used the "crop" function. I'll try and play with the macro function on the next group of shots. But for a phone camera it takes some great pics.

Yes, the S3 has a good camera for a phone.

I don't know if you are aware, but in auto focus mode, one can use one's finger to drag the camera's attention and focus point to the area in the pic where you'd like focus to be. When you stop dragging, it will attempt to focus on that spot. When the rectangle turns green you should be good.

And as close as the S3 will focus in macro mode, it is still possible to get too close. If you're having a hard time focusing, try moving back a few inches and see if that doesn't help.

I agree clove polyps are tenacious. I got a nice chunk of zoas from a club member knowing that there were clove polyps on it and I'm still picking them out.

In my opinion the space monster is brighter than the Strawberry wine(SW) and the SW has a faint black line going through it. Maybe bc its new to me but I kind of like it better than the spacemonster.
The difference with the rainbows are def the colors. The 5-color has metallic colors and the aussie and Raptor's have pastel colors. I'll try and see if I can borrow my mom's nice DSLR to get some better pics showing the differences.

Oh I still have about 30-40 more I need to get pics of Some of them are just really hard to get a pic of. But I'll see what I can do tonight and I'll get a FTS too.
