im going on a vacation trip to myrtle beach and was wondering if it wud be illigal to get a bucket of ocean rock to put in my tank at home...i was planning on going into the ocean and finding some loose rock and letting it dry in a bucket then taking it home for aquascaping in my tank?

The law says if there is anything alive on the rock (including algae) it is illegal, besides if you are going to dry it out why do you want to take live rock? Once it is dry, all it is is rock and there is no reason to bring it home

because where i live, live rock is verry expencive even if it is dead, and it costs too much to have it shipped i have some live rock in my tank but im going for the look not so much the reef thing...after all i just have a fish only setup

Go to Marcorocks.com or Bulk Reef supply on the internet. The rock is very cheap and shipping is not expensive. It's the best dry rock out there.
