Mysterious disappearance

29 gallon tank up and running one month. Inhabitants are peppermint, skunk and blood shrimps, 2 false perc clowns, six line wrasse and about 10 small Scarlett hermits, a Halloween hermit, and a few turbo and nassarius snails.

I also had a royal gramma, introduced about a week ago. Ate well and showed no signs of illness or distress. This morning it's gone.

Tore down all the live rock to try and find the body so as to not let it rot in the tank. Absolutely no sign of it. I have a glass top so jumping is very unlikely.

I pulled a small gorilla crab out a couple weeks ago but otherwise no sign of pest crabs.

So what do you think happened. If it died of natural causes could my shrimps and hermits devoured him over a night to the point of leaving no sign of him? If not that what other theories?

Found many of those dried up behind my tank lol, even with a canopy.

Managed to find the gap the wires go out.

Some of these are acrobats as having millions of years of evolution of jumping from tidal pools ect ect ect

Had a tang in my overflow for 2 months before I found him.

Check pluming and sump as well.

One counterpoint... They can also be very good at finding a deep hole inside a rock and hiding for a while when stressed. I wouldn't give up all hope just yet.
