mystery wrasse jumper

I just finished moving my new mystery wrasse out from qt. Everything seemed fine, until I was wiping down my bulbs tonight. I noticed a brownish colored thing sitting on top of my egg crate. It was my mystery wrasse. I couldn't even figure out how it made it through the hole. I wiggled it back and forth until I realized that it had to jump through diagonolly. What are the odds!!! Anyone ever have a fish make it through the eggcrate? Any additional protective moves I can make?

i've been reading alot latly that wrasse's can make it through eggcrates ... i heard try using screen door material over the top of the tank.
