I just got this little guy on Saturday. He's pretty small, only about 3/4". I had the lfs feed him and it ate right away. It hasn't eaten since now. I have tried everything(pellets, mysis, brine shrimp and live black worms). Nothing. What should I do? He's curious about everything and looks at all the food items. He just doesn't touch them

is he being harrassed by anything in your tank? give us some tank specs? what size tank? what else is in the tank? water parameters? was he put into a QT?

i have never had a problem with any mystery wrasse i have ever owned in the past. they have all ate like hogs and ate anything i put in the tank. did you try live brine shrimp or have you tried soaking anything with a product like Selcom? Selcom has always helped me in the past with finicky eaters. i know i have tried black worms in the past and most of my fish have not liked it.

He is in a 14g biocube all by himself. Nitrites and ammonia are 0. Nitrate is barely detectable. Temp is around 79-80. He was not put in qt because he was going in a tank by himself anyways. Plus I've been watching this particular fish at the lfs for a few months and it showed no signs if any illness or stress during that time.

first off, a 14g biocube is too small for this fish... regardless of him only being like an 1in that is going to stress him out right there. i wouldnt recomend putting it in anything less then a 50g+ or a 3ft tank.

how much rock is in the tank? how old is the tank?

The tanks about 6 months old and there's around 15lbs of rock. The 14g is temporary. When it gets to big it's going in my 55. Just right now it may become a snack for one of the fish.
