I went to CT this weekend to hang with some friends after a snowboarding Finals race in New Hampshire. Swong down to Mystic Seaport CT, and stipped in the aquarium.
Was nice, but smallish. Some exhibits were boring, and they have this "3D" ride in which it ends with you being swallowed by a dinosaur underwater in a sub. ( LAME !!!!)
As tot eh fish and reeef tanks, they were fairly nice. Actualy I was amazed how one of the tanks very closely (almost creepy so) mirrored the EXACT species of corals in my personal 37 gallon tank with the addition of some pimple mushrooms ( Tony at Swamp bottom has some for me actualy that are planned to go in my tank as of lastmonth when he fragged the mother rock) and some very large "Grand Polyps" that I was drooling over ( Carribbean only Sp. and rare) I asked for a frag from the display, but they declined ( but I got a contact number for possible frag
)
All in all: Worth 18.00 for entry fee for a destination trip = NO.
A good side trip= Yes.
